Be Mindful of Your Own Path

"Lord, show me my way and make me willing to walk it." - Birgitta of Vadstena

It is easy to get sidetracked and find yourself walking someone elses path. It is easy to grasp someone elses map and compass, and start following it's lead. It is easy to grasp what is not yours because it is hard to hold on to what is yours.

Every journey has it's own purpose. The same journey taken in different stages of life have different purposes. Finding out what the purpose of your present journey is not as important as actually walking the path.

Focus on keeping to the path you are given. For it is that path which leads you to the water you need to quench the specific thirst of your soul. Every pilgrim walking on the same way is still creating their unique path. Heed the Shepard's voice and you will be lead to waters that will quench your thirst and sooth your soul ache.
